Over the past several years, we’ve become one of Charlotte’s go-to event planners for shopping centers. If you’d ask me 10 years ago if I thought I’d be working with multiple shopping centers throughout the area for the majority of their events I wouldn’t necessarily believe you, but when you get down to it, it makes sense.
Shopping centers are community hubs, and at J. Leigh Events, our primary focus is community and community events. Shopping centers bring all types of folks together, and creating community-focused events for them not only serves the community at large, but the businesses located in the centers.

For these clients we’ve planned dozens of events throughout the year, including:
Community concerts
Holiday events
Outdoor movies
Vendor pop up events
Pop-up dinners, fundraisers and blood drives

Each event with our shopping centers is designed to do a few things:
Introduce new folks to the shopping center. New people are moving into Charlotte every day and constant events bring people to these centers and introduce them to the businesses inside.
Keep folks coming back to the shopping centers. How often have we visited someplace, enjoyed it, but never gone again? With an ongoing calendar of events that people have to look forward to, there’s always a reason to come back.
Drive support for the businesses in the shopping centers. While many of the events hosted by shopping centers are free, while folks are on site they often visit and patronize the different businesses located there. If they don’t purchase something during the event, the chances are increased that they'll come back to purchase from those businesses.
