J. Leigh Events is a full service event planning company based in Charlotte, NC. Established in 2013 J. Leigh Events offers clients comprehensive packages to ensure they not only a memorable but a stress-free event.
Jennifer Bishop is an event planning professional with almost 15 years of event planning experience. Jennifer began her event planning career working for a non-profit organization in the Charlotte area. For 8 years Jennifer designed, planned and executed a variety of events ranging from small events such as staff meetings, and weekly dinners, to larger events such as weddings and parties that included up to 1200 guests.
Jennifer has a passion for creating events that leave lasting memories. It was because of this passion that she created J. Leigh Events. Jennifer has planned monumental life events but also loves to work with and showcase local businesses in the Charlotte and surrounding areas. In 2013, J. Leigh Events organized the first Shop Charlotte tour. The tour was created as a way to provide patrons with a unique shopping experience by traveling by bus to various independently owned boutiques in the area. In 2017, J. Leigh Events worked with Triple C Brewing to open their new event space, The Barrel Room at Triple C.
In addition to J. Leigh Events, Jennifer is also passionate about volunteering her time and experience to area nonprofits. For the 4 years, she volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte for their yearly fundraiser, a fashion show called Girl’s Night Out. Jennifer co-chaired the 2015 and 2016 event and oversaw the organization and execution of all aspects of planning for the fashion show portion of the event.
Jennifer’s love of what she does, hands-on approach, and attentive work ethic ensures that all of her clients will have a stress-free experience and be thrilled with the end result.
Samantha Rosenfield: Sam joined the J. Leigh Events team right at the end of 2019 as our first part-time employee, and she’s quickly become indispensable. She helps with the planning of events, she’s a whiz at day-of coordination and she fills in anywhere else I have a need. She has a strong background in digital marketing and freelance writing, allowing us to expand our offerings to help with event marketing and social media management to our clients. When she’s not typing away or on calls helping coordinate the next big celebration, she’s hanging out with her two cute dogs and using her typewriter for inspo.
Alyssa Pressler: Alyssa is a wordsmith by trade and handles all things written for us. She helps us keep our blog page up to date, creates content for our newsletter, consults on the occasional social media post, and helps with day-of-event coordination when needed. When she’s not writing or posting to social media, she’s reading a ton of books or going for runs all around Charlotte.
