Most couples spend months, even years, planning their dream wedding. This summer, Jennifer and Jeffrey only had two and a half weeks.
Yes, you read that right. The date the couple chose for their wedding, May 19, was particularly important, so they knew they wanted to be married then. They planned out a romantic wedding in Paris, but due to unplanned circumstances, they had to push it back.
Instead, on a whim, the couple decided to do a beautiful backyard micro-wedding with their family and friends so they could still get married on May 19, and pushed back their Paris wedding.
Even with only two weeks to plan, Jennifer and Jeffrey’s wedding was one of the most beautiful ones I’ve ever been a part of. It goes to show you truly can have the wedding of your dreams, no matter what time frame you’re working with!
I met Jennifer a while ago because we’ve both been featured by the KNOW Tribe. We reconnected when just a few months ago she came to speak with me at my Girl Tribe booth.
A huge help in terms of planning everything so quickly was that the couple already had their venue and officiant picked out. They decided on a small backyard wedding at their friend’s house - the environment was so cute and intimate. It was perfect for the smaller wedding they wanted to have.
The venue and officiant can be some of the toughest things to decide on from a wedding planning aspect, so with those two things taken care of, the rest of the details came together quickly.
I immediately called up a bunch of my favorite vendors knowing they’d be able to come through quickly and still make the day magical for the bride and groom. Party Reflections was my go-to for rentals and they did an amazing job getting all the tables, chairs and linens we needed. Coupled with incredible flowers from Blooming Branch Creative florals, who created the chuppah, centerpieces and bouquet, it was gorgeous and cohesive.
Next up was food, and Kre8 Xperiences was phenomenal. There was salt-crusted pretzel nugs, “Jeffrey’s” chunked onions, cheesesteaks, grilled and chilled veggies de jour and so many other delicious things to eat. Accompanied with a Suarez Bakery cake, everything was absolutely scrumptious.
Coupled with outdoor games from Rustic Charm Co. and amazing music by Dean’s Duet, Jennifer and Jeffrey’s wedding was a blast. You’d never even know it had only been finalized in 2 weeks! When you make quick decisions and know what you want, it takes no time at all to plan a wedding.
This wedding was unique in that it’s my first ever Jewish wedding I’ve been a part of. It was so much fun to see the traditions that go into ceremony and reception.
Overall, Jennifer and Jeffrey’s wedding was a fun celebration of their relationship. They epitomized the idea that it’s not necessarily about the wedding, it’s about the relationship a couple has together. I’m so glad J. Leigh Events was able to help plan their day.
Congrats to the beautiful couple!
